Broome FarmCider Breaks at Broome Farm Come
and enjoy a Cider Break at Broome Farm. The exact format of the
break may vary according to what is happening locally i.e. “Big
Apple” weekend, Putley Cider Championships, Cider Museum Cider
Festival, our own cider festival etc. The weekend is for people
who also enjoy good food , we might incorporate cookery demonstrations
using cider, perry and local produce, but the format will be something
as below-
What do you get?
- A pre-dinner sampling of the farm’s range of ciders and perrys in our cider cellar.
- First night, an A la Carte five course dinner,
accommodation and farmhouse style breakfast. - A morning in the orchards gathering cider apples.
- Ploughman’s lunch, with cider- of course!
- An afternoon pressing the apples collected in the time- honoured way.
- Cream tea with scones still hot from the oven.
- Another five course A la Carte dinner. You will be ready for it after the fresh air you have had today. ( You probably will not need much rocking before you are asleep! )
- Accommodation and leisurely farmhouse style breakfast.
- The morning of this day is to give you the opportunity to explore Ross on Wye and the surrounding Wye valley.
- Lunch back at the farmhouse and then depart for home.
All of the above for only £90 per person! A single room supplement of £20 These breaks are available usually from mid September through to the end of November and is dependent a little on the weather we have had during the summer months.
In the spring of each year we also give you the opportunity to return for another break when you can purchase some of the cider that you helped make last autumn with your own name labels. The spring break consists of- - An A la carte five course dinner.
- Accommodation and farmhouse style breakfast.
- An orchard walk, particularly lovely at blossom time
- A chauffered tour ( so you can drink without having to worry about driving) along the “ Herefordshire Cider Route” sampling a wide range of traditional ciders that this county produces.
- A pub lunch in one of Herefordshire’s famous “black and white” villages.
- Yet more sampling after lunch ! A hard day this!!
- Back to the farm for cream tea with fresh scones straight from the oven.
- You might feel like a little siesta before dinner, but it’s not compulsory! You could just carry on with some of our cider by way of comparison with your earlier samplings.
- Followed by a five course A la Carte dinner.
- Accommodation and farmhouse style breakfast
