REAL CIDER
The Knight Family have been growing and pressing cider apples here
at Crumpton Oaks, nestling in the foothills of the Malverns, for
three generations. The success of our Real ciders in winning many awards, locally
and internationally, has justified the drive to produce our ciders
from only 100% blended cider fruit. Thus, over the last 30 years,
we have increased our orchards from 25 to 200 acres representing
60,000 established trees with a further 10,000 trees in our nursery
for planting in 2004.
The combination of traditional fruit and careful blending, together with modern
equipment and hygiene, enables us to create consistent quality refreshing ciders.
MALVERN GOLD Medium Reserve is a full bodied Real Cider rich in
tannins and flavenoids which create its natural flavour and golden
colour.
Made from our home grown, fresh apples, we press, ferment and
mature prior to filtration and bottling. It takes at least two and
a half Pounds of apples to produce every bottle of cider.
MALVERN OAK Dry Reserve is a refreshing, balanced cider made from a variety
of traditional cider apples, including Yarlington Mill, Harry Master's Jersey,
Dabinett and Kingston Black.
With the help of ‘mother nature', our cider's are fermented
to 6% alcohol to encapture the full flavour of the wine of the orchards, differing
from many other ciders due to our unique blend of bittersweet cider apple varieties.
